This is a mini with a circle of material gathered and affixed to the bottom. The result is a skirt to loves to dance with you and is easy to walk in.

Indian Runner

Not only is it named after a motorcycle, it could be at home near one. The skirt is angled and left WIDE open at the side, requiring thick tights, leggings, or Sturges to be worn properly.

Riverbank

This is a half circle skirt with a thick waistband. The four lines are gathered fabric, but gathered horizontally briefly instead of vertically. This gives the skirt four thick ridges and an uncomfortable bottom, but it controls the flow of the skirt nicely.

Business Gal

A wrap skirt designed to resemble a dress jacket. I tried two rows of buttons, but it just didn't look as tidy or as femme as a single row.

Candy Cane Surprise

The over skirt of this item is a stiffer fabric, with two notches cut out of the side. These notches are filled with a tiered lace, which contrasts with the fabric.

This skirt is mock leather, with an open slash on the side. The slash is laced, tidily, from the outside.

Snow White

A skirt made from a rectangle with slots. The slots have a diamond gusset inside of a contracting color. The top and bottom are then gently gathered into the waist and hem bands to mimic Snow White's sleeves.

The second of the fur trimmed skirts, this one is laced up the front. The fur is styled into those peaks. I think it looks like a fashionable octopus.

This skirt has a fitted hip and a box-pleated skirt. The skirt has a pattern, and the ribbon highlights. Note the pattern is rotated at the hips, which makes the dark pattern less oppressive.

Tea Garden Party

This skirt is pieced from panels, so care must be taken with the arrangement of the pieces. The lighter green panel is an inverted pleat in the back.

Trailed Skirt

Something a little fancier then the norm, there was a plan for this skirt. The middle back is either pleated or gathered, the sides fitting. The train as supposed to be longer; it's shortened in the diagram. The train is designed to be fully lined and actually pulled up over the head as a veil.

This skirt is a long blue skirt, normally fitted and flowing, made of a heavier fabric. The fun comes with a shimmery golden fabric trimmed with coins or large beads.

All Strung Out

A long stiff skirt with belt loops to hold the belt. The bottom is flowing lace or ruffles.

The darker pink stripe with the bows on them are supposed to be trim. The bottom has a nice scallop to the trim.

Candy Wrapper

A simple yet charming skirt with a contrasting lining. It is a single piece, as the diagram shows, with darts at the sides. The waist and waistband aren't gathered, and the skirt buttons/fastens at the darts.

This skirt has three layers. The first layer is a slowing fabric with a tiny pinstripe. The second is a gauzy over skirt with a large pattern. The third layer is a fitted skirt with a broader stripe.

This skirt is a large circle of fabric that's tied just above the knees with a broad ribbon. One side is hitched a little higher.

East of the Border

FAR east of the border, that is. This is a blue bell-shaped skirt with a strong boarder print. The over skirt is fully lined and and is one solid piece in the back.

This skirt is made in the image of a private eye's trench. It can be made in different lengths, but I like the design when it skirts the bottom of the coat, usually calf length. The ruffle isn't as long as a normal ruffle, since it represents the bottom of the coat under the belt.

This is a circle skirt with four to six ribbon channels. The hem can be adjusted by drawing the cords inside tighter. I was playing with roman blinds.

This skirt is a pain, since you have to paint the flowers so wide. It helps to pleat first, to get an idea of how wide the pattern needs to be so they look normal while pleated.

A form fitting mini with three falls bellow it. The little bow tops off the tapering central shape and is the color of the falls. The falls are all the same color, but gauze, so the color is darker (and more modest) nearer the top.

This skirt is made from a slender underskirt and a massive circle skirt. The underskirt is made as usual. The over skirt is a large circle that's gathered at two places, 1/3 and 2/3 of the radius, and the bottom. The gathered part is then sewn to the underskirt. The diagram at the side shows crudely how it's done.

I like this one because the colors don't follow the normal color set up. It's a skirt made from light fabrics, but not transparent. The green is the longest layer, with the others layered over it. The layers don't reach the waist, however, but are layered like shingles. This way the waist isn't so bulky.
